Mother's Day Ladies Lunch

Spring has officially sprung in our neck of the woods,
April showers brings May flowers, right? Well I will just keep telling myself that. With Easter past we are already thinking about Mother's Day, and what better way to celebrate than an outdoor ladies luncheon. Invite the mom's in your life over for a fun afternoon of snacks, drinks and lots of laughs.

Everything for this fun setup is from either Target or Home Goods. They make it easy to style any party, I love that each shopping trip I always find something new and pretty!

For this theme I chose the bright beautiful colors of Spring in shades of blues and pinks with pops of green and gold accents. Good news too...I have spotted many of these Target items on clearance...so don't walk...run there now to pick up some of these gorgeous goodies!

Your menu can be as elaborate as you want, but it doesn't have to be. As you know I am a big fan of keeping it simple when I can, offer an array of mini sandwiches and a fresh green salad. For after lunch, have desserts placed out for guests to nimble on while you continue to chat over drinks.

It is always fun to have a special gift to take home. For each guest a beautiful candle at each place setting is the perfect touch. These darling candles from Target came in the prettiest containers!

To set your table, start with a neutral tablecloth and build upon that as the base. I used a white tablecloth, added a navy scarf as a table runner with bright pink place mats. Each setting had a stack of navy and white plates with a candle on top and crystal stemware.

This centerpiece was created by placing a box of white silk tulips in the center, with a beautiful teal glass swan on top. Then adding a few more flower arrangements, greenery and candles to the table.

At each seat a beautiful floral pillow to ensure guests remain comfortable. Plus they add another pop of color and fun element to the table.

I always love using fresh flowers whenever I can, they bring so much life to any event. I bought a couple of simple bouquets from the local grocery store and created my own arrangements. This beautiful blue glass vase is actually a candle holder. I love finding ways to use items, for more than what they were intended.

I hope you were able to find some fun inspiration on how to celebrate the mom in your life. I'll have more inspiration coming soon!
