Vintage Floral Baby Shower

I had the honoring of hosting an intimate luncheon baby shower for a good friend of mine. This will be her fourth little one; she is due in a few weeks and it was such a pleasure to give her a relaxing, quiet lunch party to celebrate her and the new arrival. The theme was anything girly, vintage inspired and floral.

I used several different scrapbook paper prints in feminine designs. I used the Flag Paper Punch from The TomKat Studio and cut out several to form the backdrop banners. I also used paper doilies to create the lace banner, by folding them in half over the twine and then adding a little glue on the inside of the doilies to secure them.

The menu was simple; cucumber sandwiches, cranberry chicken salad sandwiches, chinese chicken salad, strawberries, watermelon and twelfth night scones were served. For dessert I ordered a cake from a local bakery and made some yummy  "about to pop" popcorn crunch. For drinks we served strawberry lemonade, and cucumber-strawberry water.

As a little thank you I made homemade blackberry jam for the guests.

This gathering turned out so wonderful and was such a great way to celebrate the momma to-be. Special thanks to my momma & sister who assisted with the food and party prep. I love to party plan and decorate, but preparing food is certainly not my specialty.
