Easter Sunday

Easter morning was here and it was time to see what the Easter Bunny had left for Miss Katelyn. She was pretty excited and loved digging through her basket. Katelyn received a few sand toys, so my guess is that the Easter Bunny knows we don't have a lot of grass in the yard, only dirt! She also got a few books, a video and an outfit.

This year we decided to host a brunch for Easter, both Steve's family and mine combined. I really wanted to make it a fun event, so I had lots of decorations, an egg hunt and some delicious food!

Of course I stuffed lots of eggs with candy to hide for the kids. The "happy easter" sign was created by me, first printable I have created and I think it turned out pretty good.

It's not an event without balloons and stripey straws! Not just for kids because the adults loved them too. I highly recommend you get some for your next event or party, check out The Tomkat Studio Shop for a wide variety of colors.

It's hard to see in this picture with the sun shining in the background, but I hung streamers in the window with a couple of yellow poms and of course my Easter banner. That was a bargain find last year for $2.
The food was delicious; peach-raspberry french toast casserole, potato casserole, ham, bacon, sausage, fruit kabobs, the list just keeps on going.

After we were stuffed full we gathered the kids outside, a beautiful 60 degree day, for the egg hunt.
Katelyn had so much fun during the egg hunt, she loved searching for her eggs.

We had such an amazing day, the weather was perfect, the food was great and the company was wonderful. I would say a perfect Easter Sunday for us.

I hope you all enjoyed your day with family & friends as much as we did.

Happy Easter
